How Can I Help?
Your role as a donor or volunteer is critical to the success of our programs and services.
We operate the only youth runaway shelters in Pinellas and Manatee counties and have a constant
client base that relies on our being there when crises develop.
With ever-shrinking government funding, our programs are becoming increasingly threatened.
Despite our successes and the growing need for our services in the community, costs and
limited resources continue to challenge our mission.
Interested in volunteering?
Let youth know that they can count on their community when they need help.
Even if the time you can provide is limited, you can get involved in changing the lives of
youth for the better. If you would like to play a positive role in the lives of youth or
assist us as a volunteer at one of our special events, please call us at
(727) 521-5200 in
Pinellas County or (941) 741-3575 in Manatee County, or send
us an E-mail.
If you would like to remember Family Resources in your will, trust or general estate planning,
we welcome an opportunity to discuss your wishes with you.
Support Businesses That Support Family Resources
From time to time you might find a big yellow bag hanging from your door knob. Next time it’s there,
please fill it up and help out Family Resources. Second Image Thrift Store, in partnership with Family
Resources and Community Aid Collections, places these bags on the doors of homes throughout the Bay Area.
Every month Family Resources derives generous financial assistance from Second Image. These gifts stem
directly from your donations of unwanted clothing, furniture, toys, small appliances, baby items, books
and bedding. They also collect non-perishable food items for redistribution to local food banks. In
addition to financial donations, the staff of Second Image generously contributes gift certificates to be used by Family Resources’ clients.
If you have items you would like to donate, call 1-800-572-1266. Second Image is located at 10810 US Hwy
19 N., in Clearwater and 2419 W. Kennedy in Tampa.
